WELCOME!
Welcome to the pages of Garden ResQ pages
dedicated to grey water and grey water recycling.
These pages contain grey water reuse information, interesting facts
and pages that you, the reader, can comment on or even share your
unique point of view.
By sharing your success stories or the tips you may have on water
conservation around your business or home, you assist us in
educating, not only the general reader who is at this stage is
possibly researching a school project but also a homeowner who is
wanting to go green in their homes.
Our responsibility as a company lies not only in the marketing and
sales of our grey water recycling products – but in educating and
encouraging debate on how we all can contribute to a wider
understanding of grey water systems and safe grey water reuse and
recycling.
What we encourage in grey water
recycling and reuse is not new. Grey water recycling (or graywater
as an alternate spelling) has been encouraged and utilised for many
years internationally as a form of irrigation and water savings.
South Africa is however still a few years behind the rest of the
world when it comes to the recycling and reuse of grey water but we
are catching up fast |
Australia is considered, by many, as the leaders in the field of
water recycling. This is evident in the fact that many of
Australia’s local governments offer substantial rebates to the
homeowner who installs an approved grey water system. Garden ResQ,
is fortunate to be one of those approved suppliers. By recognising
the fact that if we reduce the demand for potable water normally
used for garden irrigation, we increase the reserves of drinking
water and water available for agriculture and industry that require
clean water. Our gardens are certainly not that fussy and love grey
water.
This simple concept dovetails with governments
requests to its citizens for the drastic reduction
in fresh water usage and thereby helping generate a
water surplus. Our dam levels are not what they
should be and can be view here. By reusing the grey
water generated from a home, it is possible that the
homeowner can expect up to a 50% reduction in their
water usage as this is the percentage of water that
is normally used to water the garden – half your
water bill.
Our aim is simple. Garden ResQ wishes to assist you
in your drive to save water in the home. In order
for us to achieve this we have the following:
1. A simple yet effective method of redistributing
your bathroom water to your garden.
2. A system that will not cost you and arm and a
leg.
3. A system that is delivered pre assembled. All you
need to do is “plug it in”
4. A system that does not require holes in the
garden
There has never been a better time to recycle your
water now that the Maxi and Maxi Pro is available in
South Africa. Once seen as a nice to have because of
the expense, it is now regarded by many as a obvious
requirement for all homeowners wishing to save water
– and their gardens. The Maxi units cost less than
you ever imagined – or were quoted.
Is climate change real? Whatever our views is it not
time to consider the 3 R’s: Reduce, Reuse and
Recycle. Once we implement a recycling program, we
are on our way to an ecofriendly and sustainable
lifestyle. |
